Select for Me is built to need as little of your personal data as possible. Here's exactly what is and isn't collected.

What we store

Your food profile — diet preference, spice tolerance, allergies, health goals, favourite cuisines, religious restrictions, city, and pincode — is saved using your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device and is not sent to or stored on any external server or database.

What we send to generate recommendations

To generate a food or recipe recommendation, the relevant details from your profile (excluding your name) along with your selected budget, order/cook preference, and any mood or craving you type in, are sent to an AI model to generate a response. This request is not linked to your identity and is not stored after the recommendation is generated.

Weather data

Your city name is sent to a third-party weather service (wttr.in) to fetch real-time temperature and weather conditions. No other personal information is shared with this service.

What we don't do

• We do not access your Swiggy or Zomato account, order history, or any login credentials.
• We do not require account creation or login to use the tool.
• We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or third parties.
• We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes.

Clearing your data

Since your profile is stored locally in your browser, you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain, or by using private/incognito browsing mode.

Third-party links

When you choose to order food, Select for Me links you to Swiggy, Zomato, or Magicpin's own websites. Once you leave Select for Me, their respective privacy policies apply.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the product evolves. Continued use of Select for Me after changes means you accept the updated policy.
